Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you may want to know before creating your keepsake.

1. What can I include in my keepsake?

Almost anything meaningful can potentially be included — ashes, breast milk, hair, fur, flowers, petals, fabric, sand and many other sentimental items.
If you're unsure whether something can be included, please contact me before sending it and I'll be happy to discuss it with you.

2. How much of an inclusion do I need to send?

You don't need to send a large amount. For most inclusions, just over a tablespoon is more than enough. I will only use what is needed to create your piece, and any unused inclusion will be carefully returned to you.

3. How do I send my inclusion to you?

You can send your inclusion to me using any delivery service you prefer.
Please remember that the cost of sending your inclusion to me is your responsibility, and it is sent at your own cost and risk.
I recommend using an appropriate tracked delivery service and packaging your inclusion carefully.

4. Can I include more than one type of inclusion?

Absolutely. More than one inclusion can be incorporated into a piece.
If you're unsure whether the items you'd like to combine will work together, please contact me before sending them and we can discuss your ideas.

5. Can I choose the colour of my resin?

Yes. You can choose any colour you like.
If you have a photograph, colour reference or physical colour swatch you'd like me to work from, you're very welcome to send it to me. I will do my very best to match the colour as closely as possible.
Please bear in mind that a colour match may not be exact, as resin, mica powders and different materials can naturally create variations in colour.

6. Can I add glitter or foil?

Yes. Glitter can be added to your piece, as well as silver or gold foil, allowing you to personalise your keepsake even further.

7. Will my piece look exactly like the photograph or design I choose?

Not necessarily — and that's what makes your keepsake completely unique.
Every resin piece is one of a kind. The finished appearance can naturally vary depending on things such as:

I will always do my best to create your piece as closely as possible to your chosen design and our agreed ideas, but a handmade piece cannot be guaranteed to be an exact replica of a photograph or previous piece.

8. Will there be bubbles in my resin?

Small bubbles can sometimes be unavoidable with handmade resin work.
I will always take every care possible to remove bubbles and reduce them significantly, using the appropriate techniques throughout the process. However, I cannot guarantee that every single bubble will be eliminated.

9. How long will my order take?

My aim is to complete standard orders within approximately 2–3 weeks, depending on when your inclusion is received and the type of piece being created.
Floral preservation is different, as flowers need time to go through the drying and preservation process before they can be incorporated into your finished piece.
Floral preservation orders can therefore take approximately 8–12 weeks.
I will always keep you updated if your order is likely to take longer than expected.

10. What happens to any inclusion that isn't used?

Any inclusion that isn't used in your piece will be carefully returned to you with your finished keepsake.

11. Can I have a completely custom design?

Absolutely.
Your piece can be completely personal to you and your story.
If you have an idea that isn't shown on the website, please get in touch. We can discuss colours, inclusions, shapes, designs and personal details to create something that feels right for you.

12. Can I have my jewellery in gold?

Yes, gold options are available.
Because of the cost of gold, solid gold pieces will be at a considerably higher price. The exact cost will depend on the current price of gold at the time of ordering.
Gold-plated options are also available, although these will be different designs to the sterling silver options shown on the website.
Please enquire for available gold and gold-plated options and current pricing.

13. What type of silver do you use?

My jewellery pieces are made using 925 sterling silver.

14. How do I care for my jewellery?

To help keep your jewellery looking its best, I recommend:

For full jewellery care information and recommendations, please see my Terms & Conditions.

15. Can you preserve wedding bouquets or funeral flowers?

Yes. I can work with wedding bouquets and funeral flowers to create a meaningful floral preservation keepsake.
Because flowers require a careful drying and preservation process, these orders take considerably longer than standard resin pieces.
Please see my Terms & Conditions for further information about the floral preservation process and requirements.

Please note: Not all mould shapes and sizes available for floral preservation are shown on the website. If you have something specific in mind, please get in touch and I can send you pictures of the moulds available for your floral preservation. Larger moulds are also available.

16. Can I include a photograph in my floral preservation or resin art piece?

Yes. Photographs can be incorporated into floral preservation and resin art pieces.
Photographs are an additional £3.
You can send your photograph along with your order/enquiry, and I'll discuss the best way to incorporate it into your chosen design.

17. What happens if my inclusion is lost or damaged in the post?

When sending your inclusion to me, it is sent at your own cost and risk. I therefore recommend using a suitable tracked delivery service and packaging your items carefully.
When your finished piece and any unused inclusions are returned to you, I will use Royal Mail Tracked and Recorded.
Once your parcel has been handed over to the delivery service, I cannot be held responsible for loss or damage that occurs while it is in transit.

18. How do I place an order?

Simply complete the enquiry form for the piece you'd like.
I'll review your requirements and get back to you to discuss your order. Once everything has been agreed, I will provide you with an invoice and details of how to proceed.

19. Can I drop off my inclusions in person?

Yes. If you're local to Kent / the Isle of Sheppey, you're very welcome to arrange a time to drop off your inclusions or flowers in person.
You can also arrange to collect your finished piece in person, rather than having it posted to you.
Please contact me beforehand so we can arrange a suitable time.

Still have a question?

If there's something I've not answered here, please don't worry.

Just get in touch and ask. Every person's story and every keepsake is different, so I'm more than happy to talk through your ideas, answer questions and help you decide what's right for you.

I'd much rather you ask than feel unsure.
