My Story
Petal & Peace was born from something very personal to me — losing my Nan.
When I lost her, I found myself wanting something that would make me feel close to her. I bought myself a memorial ring containing a little piece of her, and honestly, it has brought me comfort every single day.
There is something incredibly special about being able to carry a little part of someone you love with you. It made me realise that a keepsake doesn't have to be huge or extravagant to mean the world. Sometimes, it can be something as simple as a ring you can look down at and know that a little piece of someone you miss is always with you.
That feeling is what inspired me to start Petal & Peace.
Something Meaningful, Without Spending a Fortune
I wanted Petal & Peace to be about creating something beautiful from something deeply meaningful, but I also wanted to keep people's budgets in mind.
I know that when you're creating a memorial keepsake, you're already going through something emotional. The last thing I want is for someone to feel that they can't afford something that could bring them comfort.
I try to keep my prices as reasonable and accessible as possible, because I believe everyone should have the opportunity to have something special made in memory of someone they love, without feeling like they have to spend a fortune.
What I Create
I create handmade memorial jewellery and resin art, using meaningful inclusions such as ashes, breast milk, hair, fur, flowers, petals, fabric and other precious little reminders of someone or something special.
For my rings and pendants, I use 925 sterling silver, giving you a beautiful, quality finish that is designed to be treasured.
Gold options are also available if you would prefer something in gold. These will be considerably more expensive due to the current price of gold, and the cost will vary depending on the market price of gold at the time your piece is ordered.
To help keep your bracelet looking its best, it should be removed before washing your hands, showering, swimming, applying perfume or using products such as lotions and creams. With the right care, you can help prolong the life and appearance of your bracelet.
Please note: full jewellery care information and these recommendations are also included within my Terms & Conditions.
Every Piece Is Personal
No two pieces will ever be exactly the same — and that is part of what makes them yours.
Because they are handmade, there will naturally be little differences between pieces. The colour can vary depending on the mica powder used, as well as the amount and weight of the ashes or other inclusions placed into the resin.
You may also occasionally see tiny bubbles within the resin. I will always take every care possible to reduce these significantly and achieve the best finish I can, but with handmade resin work, some bubbles can sometimes be unavoidable.
I don't see these little differences as imperfections — they are part of what makes your keepsake unique to you. Nobody else will have one exactly the same.
A Little Thank You
Thank you for trusting me with one of your most prized belongings.
You will never know how much it means to me to be trusted with something so precious and personal. I understand that what you send me isn't simply an inclusion. It could be a little piece of someone you loved, something connected to a life-changing moment, or something that holds memories that are impossible to replace.
I promise to treat your inclusions with the care, respect and importance they deserve, and it is a genuine honour to be able to create something for you that can hopefully bring you a little comfort and help you keep those memories close.
With love,
Jessica
